Singers: Kaushiki Chakrabarty,Sundar Narayana Rao, Munna Shaaukat Ali,M.Ghibran
Lyrics: Kaadhal Mathi, Munna Shaaukat Ali
The album begins with a marriage between Qawwali and Melody, transcending from tamil to hindi in an alternate way. The song set in Harikambhoji, takes a casual ride into the ears and the singers prove they are talent-made,handling the nuances well. Simple arrangement of the sufi-ated vocals and instruments like damru, dholak and santoor add benefits on the side. This will seem a difficult to hear at first , if you are a normal listener . But once listened a few times , the track stays on mind.
Singers: Chimayi, Shadab Faridi
Lyrics: Karthik Netha
A “Wow” feel track, set in progressive trance begins with a lilting and fluidised piano played and spirited growls performed out. Shadab takes the number to an entire new level , that’s like a un-tellable dream and with no surprise ,Chinmayi takes you to the lost land with her tickling voice. The selection of both the low and high octaves makes this a undeniable. Experimentation continues !!
Singers: Charulatha Mani, Dr. R.Ganesh, Sadhana Sargam, Vijay Prakash
It will be no wonder if the critics will rate this song as their favourite one for this year . The composition involves the use of rare ragas , that have very little space in film music (Mukhari and Hamirkalyani).Gentle and caressing voices of Charulatha,Sadhana,Vijay Prakash and Ganesh follow each others ,with all competing like they are possessed with a childish joy. The konakols and Jalatharangam are addes to keep the interludes busy and interesting.
Singers: Ashwitha, “Isai Mazhalai” Haresh, Bonnie Chakrabarty, Nivas
Lyrics: Thenmozhi Das
Auto-tuned cry of a child is sequenced skillfully in a unusual manner to this industrial genre track, where Keeravani is used as the base raag and quite an upbeat sounds of train rails is added to it with energetic vocals of Bonnie chakraborty, Nivas and the children. The track carries a tense feeling throughout.
Singers: Yazin Nizar
A classic dandiyaa styled track with soul stirring string sections ,prodigious chorus section ,whacky cellos and electric guitars delivers more than par excellence and additional support given by percussions. Yazin Nizar gets the dream track and shouts out the character’s feel , when he sees the girl, that’s in his subconscious in-front.
Singers: Aritullah Shah Khalif-e-Rifayee and group
A traditional Dargah track arrives finally, added to the package is perfectly Islam sung by Aritullah Shah Khalif- e- Rifayee and group. The song has peace in it and the vocalists provide all what the track needs!
Just to add some more authenticity , Ghibran creates a contemporary in its native with the rustic voice of Shauqat depicting the sadness imbibed inside and gathers pace at the end with the chorus.
Pick of the album – Enthaaraa Enthaaraa, Kannukkul Pothivaippen, Yaaro Ival , Chillendra Chillendra, Rayile raa
Bottomline – Ghibran has climbed up the ladder in no time, to achieve a place in the list of the trending composers in the recent times with some interesting collaborations as well as with music bombers he has given thus far. With no doubt , this album too, is filled with indefinable music elements and is sure to satiate the listeners forever. Served nice and tight !!
