Anna Nadai★★½☆☆

Singers: Chinna Ponnu, Velmurugan

Lyrics: Aegaadhesi

An introduction song , that can be heard just once, but carries the feel of festive tradition in it. Vel Murugan and Chinna Ponnu perform their portions with great energy. Yet another to be ear-marked folk song in the recent times.

Nanba Nanba★★½☆☆

Singers: Ananthu

Lyrics: Karunakaran

After Pulimurudhu got well received, Ananthu jumps in for another blood-rousing and pacy number. The positive note is that it begins majestically well with trumpets , well wielded interludes and concept lyric, but falls low with the inconsistency in the tune.

Super Thirudan★★★☆☆

Singers: Haricharan

Lyrics: Ganesh Vinayaac

A nicely crafted song performed by Haricharan, which has dabankuthu elements and the singer does something different apart his regular melody stuff. The lyric is fine, but the unidirectional sense in the arrangement makes a friction with it. Though the song is amped-up , it is difficult to digest that the number is close enough for comparsion with kannada song “Sikkapatte Ishtapatte”.

Thagararu (Instrumental-theme)★★½☆☆

What comes to mind when u think of Madurai – fierce, violent and the list goes on. Though the start seems to be promising ,loaded with thaara-thapatam, nadaswaram to bring the nativity essence, the closeness fades away and does not shine in any part.

Thiruttu Paya Pulla ★★★½☆

Singers: Karthik

Lyrics: Ganesh Vinayaac

Dope singing works out well for the only song , that’s listenable in the album. It is sung by Karthik and the music arrangement is comparatively better than in the other numbers.

Pick of the Album– Thiruttu Paya Pulla

BottomlineDespite Dharan’s name in every album that comes out frequently, the work delivered doesn’t seem to true that. The album is too average and there isn’t much of music to listen. Wish a good luck to yourself and go for it.

Album Rating: ★★★★★★☆☆☆☆
