This is at most a decent attempt. It might be more interesting to watch these songs on screen but listening to it with your head phones on, the maximum you can do is groove to the beats and then you tend to lose interest as the songs proceed and the tune get repeated. One would have a liked to hear a slow melody number somewhere in between. Having all the songs as fast-paced, dance numbers does limit your audience and doesn’t give a wider reach for the album. Mona’s and Taz’s voices are commendably good. They are able to carry their respective songs solely on their shoulders. The title song is the pick of the lot and seems enjoyable. Credit goes to Flexie and Mika for it. All the songs have an element of disco and fun in them. The song ‘Balle Balle’ has some refreshing elements to it and makes it so different from the rest but it loses steam half way. The album fails to explore other genres of music and sticks to the fast-pace alone. It is commendable that the music directors have tried out something refreshingly different in some of the songs. Let’s just hope the songs sound cooler in the movie.
