 1.       Dhadang Dhang Dhang

Singer : Wajid, Shreya Goshal

Drumming and the percursions will automatically make you jump and start doing some of those jatkas and matkas. But, no it’s not a song on which you can do one of those sexy Bollywood moves, as shown in the video too, it’s a very junglee and roadside dance types. As far as the singing goes, Shreya’s silky voice doesn’t really compliment the tune well, maybe someone else who has a stronger voice could have sung it better.

 2.      Chinta ta chinta chinta

Singer : Mika Singh, Wajid

The phrase Chinta Ta Ta Ta has been taken from the original song of the Telugu version. Have to say, once you listen to this song the phrase continues to ring in your head. The tune however is the typical item song tune and with Mika singing in his rough hoarse voice it still doesn’t give this track a kick which is required in an item song to make the audience start dancing on their seats.

 3.       Aa re pritam pyaare

Singer : Mamta Sharma, Sarosh Sami

The upbeats of this track will fail to impress you. The singing is quite good, suits the tune well but the music just doesn’t go down well somehow. This track is below average.

 4.       Chamak Chalo Chel Chabeli

Singer : Kumar Sanu, Shreya Goshal

This track is much better than the previous ones! Shreya’s gorgeous voice is something you will love listening to and Sonakshi looks beautiful in the video. The tune is okay-ish. But, what’s there to look out for is Kumar Sanu’s singing, it’s as melodious as ever.

 5.       Tera ishq bada theekha

Singer : Javed Ali, Shreya Goshal

The beats of this song are fresh and gets your feet tapping. But mind you, it only gets your feet tapping, it does not give you that push to get up and dance mainly because it’s a slow paced track compared to the first three tracks in the album.

 6.       Chandaniya (Lori Lori)

Singer : Shreya Goshal

The song sounds like a typical slow paced pre- wedding track played in Bollywood movies during the rituals just before the marriage. The vocals are silvery and the tune is harmonious. Hence there are chances that quite a lot of people might find this track to be boring.

 7.       Rowdy mix

Singer : Akshay Kumar, Sarosh Sami

Starts off with 90’s music and the song sounds more like a tune which is played in Hollywood movies during an action scene. Even though Akshay Kumar is singing it this song just doesn’t work in any way. The tune, lyrics and the singing, all of it goes caput.

Verdict :

The music of this album could have been much better, as the tune of most of the tracks sound very similar. There’s nothing new Sajid – Wajid have created added to this it lacks that spunk required in an item song. It’s an one time listen album and surely none of these tracks will be running hot on the charts, maybe except for ‘Chandaniya’. This album could have been a super hit only if the music was a little more jumpy and unique. The album is a disappointment.

Overall ★★★★★★☆☆☆☆
