Music Director  Sathish Chakravarthy

Leelai is an upcoming Indian Tamil romance film directed by Andrew Vasanth Louis and produced by Aascar Films. It stars Shiv Pandit and Manasi Parekh in lead role. The music is composed by debutant Sathish Chakravarthy, a classmate of the director, Andrew Vasanth Louis. Let us see how the songs fare.

Ponmalai ★★★½☆
Oru Killi Oru Killi (Reprise) ★★★½☆
Jilendru Oru Kalavaram ★★★½☆
Bubble Gum ★★★☆☆
Unnai Partha Pinbhu ★★★☆☆
Oru Killi Oru Killi ★★★★☆

1. Ponmalai

Singer-: Benny Dayal

The album starts off with a fresh and a peppy number. Benny has a knack of performing well in these kind of songs. The tune is catchy and has been well adapted. A refreshing song indeed.

2. Oru Kili Oru Kili
Singer -: Satish Chakravarthy

This is a simple and a soulful song possible describing love failure. The music composer himself has wielded the megaphone with this song and he has done an absolutely brilliant job. Overall, a decent melodious number.

3. Jillendru Oru Kalavaram
Singer -: Satish Chakravarthy

Another song sung by the composer himself. This time, it is a melodious cum peppy number. And he has handled it very well. On a whole, it is an enjoyable and a well composed song.

4. Bubble Gum
Singers -: Sunitha Sarathy, Benny Dayal, Suvi

This is a hip-hop kind of song. The song has a varied and quite puzzling arrangement. You have the scale changing at regular intervals to make it sound different. But does it do any good to the song? It is left to the listeners to decide. I somehow felt that though it was intentional, it does sound quite odd. However, the visuals may make up for it. Lets see.

5. Unnai Partha Pinbhu
Singers -: Haricharan, Marianne

This one is another romantic song. Again, the choice of the singer is good. It suits his tone well. And then we have the interludes handled by Marianne. This song may take time to grow over you. Overall, it is a decent melody.

6. Oru Kili Oru Kili
Singers -: Shreya Ghoshal, Satish Chakravarthy

The album ends with an awesomely melodious and lovely duet by Shreya Ghoshal and Satish Chakravarthy. With Shreya in this one, it sounds better than the previous version of this song. This one is my favorite in the album and is all set to top the charts once the movie releases.

Album ★★★★★★★½☆☆

The debutant music composer has done a great job with this album. He has a promising career ahead. All songs are melodious and soulful. A couple of songs are brilliantly composed. The album was released quite long back and it thoroughly deserves to be given a credit. Hope it gets the same soon!
