Maelae Maelae★★★½☆

Singers: Karthik

Lyrics: Yugabharathi

Seasoning with some “Keechan” powder and crafting a song in a country-reggae feel , the composer caters to the listeners just a simple replication , that is easy to understand. Karthik takes the responsibility to polish it and provide some engrossing performance to make up for the not-so pursuing tune. Enjoy just an half portion !

Anbe Anbe★★★½☆

Singers: Harini, Harish Raghavendra

Lyrics: Yugabharathi

A trademark Harris tune, that is similar to several other ones coming from him, is based on a Ananda bhairavi raagam. It moves slow-tad with colourless music having the guitars, cowbells on the stage .Harish and Harini’s vocals deliver the goodness with their singing and that saves the number.

Sara Sara Saravedi★★★★☆

Singers: KK, M.K.Balaji, Srilekha Parthasarathy

Lyrics: Yugabharathi

A cool-uber song comes out of no-where and resembles the folk-style that the composer had tried out in his early career. The guitar slicks with the ghatam and few programmed sounds to bring a nice melody. The lyrics too , sit exactly the way the music is. KK and Srilekha is back with Harris for a fine comeback in Tamil after a long time.

Vizhiyae Vizhiyae★★★☆☆

Singers: Aalaap Raju

Lyrics: Yugabharathi

The driving bassline is the one that is observed , if you are looking for something in the song. It has a pathos texture carrying a light mood .Though Aalaap Raju’s emotive singing tries best , the gospel strains make it so flat and simple.

Pallaakku Devadhaiya★★★½☆

Singers: Jassie Gift, Jayamoorthy, Velmurugan

Lyrics: Yugabharathi

What kind of kuthu song , would one except just after massive popular “Venaam machan”- it is just the scintillating groove and teaming of rustic voices. The tune doesn’t run out of action and the singers try the song , what was said in the media as a type of villupaatu song tried out , but it doesn’t seem

Picks of the album – Sara Sara vedi , Melae Melae , Pallaakku Devadhaiya, Anbe Anbe

BottomlinePost Oru kal kannadi , Harris and Udhayanidhi gang up once again , to give what the audience likes , but falls short , if measured on consistency in variety. It is great to see singers like KK , Srilekha , Jassie gift ,making a mark for themselves still now in Tamil. A supposedly fine album with clear note “ Idhu Harris-udan album”
