Greekuveerudu is an upcoming Telugu film starring “King” Nagarjuna and Nayanathara. After the huge series of mass entertainers and some experiments, finally “Nag” is back with a romantic family entertainer with nice comedy. The look of him has gone viral and he doesn’t seem to be getting older at all as he looks dashing and trendy. One can expect a very classy performance from “Nag” in this film. It is directed by another classy filmmaker Dasarath, after his super hit “Mr Perfect”. The music is rendered by the young sensation SS Thaman. This is his fifth big album this year after hits like Naayak, Jabardasth, Badshah and Shadow. So did he repeat the hit mantra again? Let’s find out….

I hate love stories:
Ah! For some reasons we will love this song. It starts with trademark Thaman music. And it has high tempo, rap, catchy voices, and nice beats. The fresh and interesting lyrics are penned by Krishna Chaithanya like “Dollor ne pranamkanna ekkuvaga premisthunna” , “Legal premante shaadi ani nenatunna” “Ananandam anchula paina teladame life antunaa” etc. On the whole it looks like the intro song of “Nag” detailing his character. Good dance moves will also be seen if the teasers are any indication of what is in store. Listen to it and you will surely tap your leg.
Ne Vinnadi Nijemena :
Ne vinnadhi sees Thaman partly recycle his own Moscowin Kaveri number Adhikaalai pookkal to middling results; lyrics are ok. The song has nothing special to say. It is a decent melody and visually looks splendid in teasers. On the whole, an average song which completely depends on visuals!
O nadu Washington lo:
The song is SPB’s show all the way. The veteran singer is back with a super romantic song (Though he did sing in Krishnam Vande). He has taken this song to the next level. It seems like the makers want to repeat the magic of Manmadhudu in which SPB’s “Don’t marry be happy” was a super hit. This song even narrates a story. Finally, SPB rocks the retro-styled, foot-tapping song. The song is very catchy and funny too. Don’t miss it!
Ee Parikshalo Thanaku:
It is a patho song. No wonder these kinds of songs are hardly remembered. It is old fashioned. This is very situational and can be a background song. Singers have done justice to their job. There is a sad feel throughout the whole song. None the less, a very decent number and strictly made to inculcate sad mood and to support the visuals.
It’s a nice song; beat is good. Nice to hear Mallikarjun’s voice but some how you feel he is a mismatch but yet he has done his job. The music at the beginning is soothing. Overall, the song is pretty well composed. DSP’s kind of feel is seen here and there but after listening to the song along with the visuals, it can be more addictive. On the whole, the song is a pretty good melody.
This is the only mass song of the album. It is a typical thaman’s song which can connect to the masses well. The lyrics are catchy like “Greekuveeruda na rakumaruda” and a few more. The song is for mass lovers in this class album. Not a must listen song but still a decent one-time-listen.
Maro Janme :
It doesn’t sound like a Thaman’s song at all; rather, it sounds like Mickey J Mayer’s song. But the length of song is very short and crisp. This song has so many singers and sounds like another BG song. The album ends with this song. It is a decent song on the whole.
It is an album of melodies. It is a good attempt from the music director as it lives up to the expectations and suits the theme and script.
Picks of the album: I hate love stories and O nadu washingtonlo!
Final Verdict: A melody package!
