1. Jingle Jingle:
Singer: Mohit Chauhan
The song begins with strumming of the guitar which is later accompanied by drum beats. The song tunes on a very thematic lyric and music. The song has introduced very unique rap music also. The phrase ‘Jingle jingle’ seems to be inspired from Bangda form, even the tune becomes little Punjabi folk style during that wordings. Something new but not that impressive, only thing that makes it listen to the song is Mohit Chauhan.
Singer: Rahat Fateh Ali Khan
Faqeera is combination of Indian vocals and westernized music. This song is different from other tracks as it is Sufi song with rock base. Rahat who is sufi expert has done good job. Though it is quite appealing track, it becomes monotonous because same tune, same beats are repeated in succession which makes the track loose its tempo.
It starts with shennai type music then is supported by beating of dhols and drums. The song is peppy but has touch of Punjabi bhangda. It has slight rustic flavor and can be used as a dance number. However it does not catch much attention because it lacks innovation it is just like another ordinary track.
Singer: K. K.
Amazing start with grungy sound of electric guitar accompanied with drum beats and rap. Then comes the K.K and exhibits his magic. It is a catchy song with a heavy use of bass beat. With the word Aayashi pronounced in tune as A.Y.A.S.H.I. it easily gets trapped in your head. It’s a fun loving song and is prone to hit more in youngster. This track is best till now in the album.
5. Ayaashi Remix:
The remix version has nothing to offer. The only thing is that the track is faster than the original with more little more bass beat. Again K.K. flaunts as he is singing it with very much ease. But original is better than this track.
6. Chaska Remix:
Chaska too has remix version. This track is also fast paced and has more drum beats than original. Though nothing new but still this is better than the original track. This song is good for fast dancing.
7. Badmaash Company:
Singer: Denny Dayal
It seems to be influenced by James Bond music. This has that hip hop and trumping effect which makes it another good dance number. Out of the entire track this one has more as well as good rapping. This is slow yet full of energy and deserves to be title track. However it becomes boring after a while.
The one thing that worth noting is that the track does not have a single female playback which is quite disappointing. Also that Pritam didn’t bother to utilize the talent of Meiyang Chang as everyone know he is good singer came from Indian Idol. Overall track is good, it has different flavours like pop, rap, Punjabi bhangda and bollywood style. However most of the tracks are similar i.e. on similar base. Pritam could have tried something new in each song. Also Lyrics are not so good to be praised. Though all the songs may become hit number in disco list.
