Music : Harris Jeyaraj
Innum Enna Thozha
O Ringa Ringa
The Rise of Damo
1. Innum Enna Thozha
Singers : Balram, Naresh Iyer, Suchith Suresan
The album starts off with a slow and a passable song. The song sounds simple and is on the lines of ‘Jana Gana Mana’ from ‘Aayutha Ezhuthu’. The interludes are differently laced with good music and a simple orchestration. The singers have done their best to make the song sound good.
2. Mun Andhi
Singers : Karthik, Megha
The Harris melody of the album. The song is soothing right from its start and transcends into a well rendered song in case of singing too. It is sure going to catch the minds of the young couples and also the cellphone caller tunes. Thumbs up for this one.
3. O Ringa Ringa
Singers : Roshan, Jerry John, Benny, Suchitra
Another Harris style hero introduction song. The song is fast and well laced with a good tune and beats. The lead singers have added glitter to the song. This song is said to have been shot in the middle of crowded streets with hidden cameras. The visuals of the song has already started rising expectations.
4. The Rise of Damo
Singers : Hao Wang
Harris has gone into experimenting with this song. It is a Chinese song that describes a saint. Harris has reportedly bought exquisite Chinese instruments for this song, learned to play them and finally composed this song. It is a decent attempt and gives a good feel too. The singer has been chosen properly for the song. Thumbs up to this one too!
5. Yamma Yamma
Singer : S.P. Balasubramaniam, Swetha Mohan
A love failure song. This time, Harris seems to try this one in a different way. Its not the usual Harris type melancholy. But he has used the mighty S.P.B and a simple tune with simple orchestration. Swetha Mohan provides apt humming in between. Good one again.
6. Yellae Lama
Singers : Karthik, Shalini, Shruthi Haasan, Vijay Prakash
Probably the best song of the album. It is fast paced, swift and also good to hear. It is surely going to rock the charts. It has good paced music set to it too. The lead singers have done an awesome word in this song. Get up and start dancing for this one!
Though not a very awesome album, this one has enough to make it top the charts for the time being. Harris has experimented with a few songs and also made use of different tunes. But the question of whether it will make a mark as much as ‘Ghajini’ did is quite unanswerable. Lets wait and see.
