Vadacurry

Vadacurry is a comedy-romantic thriller , which has Jai and Swathi in the lead roles and directed by Choreographer-turned-director Saravanan Rajan. He has assisted Venkat Prabhu in films Mangatha and Biryani. This movie was promoted with the “Yuvan” tag , but unfortunately he had to turn down the film due to his show and bollywood commitments, except for single tuned by him. It should be really rewarding for the duo composers , Vivek Shiva and Merbin Solomon , who are making their debut through this.

Nenjukulla Nee ★★★★½

Singers :  Vijay Prakash , Diwakar , Ajeesh Ashok

Lyrics : Ponraj

A spectacular start to the album , which is bubbling up with full energy and it is a feeling , that comes in due to the fact we have’nt had such a track recently by the debutants , except a few ones. Vijay Prakash begins with his cuddly mannerism and gives the baton to Diwakar , who hits the target bang-on with his first song . Expect a slice of Shankar Mahadevan in Diwakar’s voice.  Ajeesh gives a melody turnover and provides the necessary impetus. Everything told , wait for this track to compete for the “Best song of the year” nomination.

Low Aana Life-u★★★★☆

Singers : Anirudh Ravichander , Andreah Jeremiah

Lyrics : Harish

Anirudh sings an electro-dubstep track in the making , that shines with a local dabaan kuthu and having said all , it has the dance by the hottest sensation in India , Sunny Leone and it possesses the elements that needs to be in an item number. Andreah grips you and has done a weight job.

Kelunganna  Kelunga★★★★☆

Singer : Gaana Bala

Lyrics : Lalith Anand

A nice street gana executed in a joyous mood , filled with humorous mind of Bala and lines of Lalith , which explains how different lives have a long stand , despite several difficulties. The cellos start off and then table , tapes, electric guitars, ukele are utilized in an unusual way.

Ullankaiyil Ennaivaithu★★★★☆

Singer : Siddharth Mahadevan

Lyrics :  Snehan

Vivek-Mervin combine the initial starts of the famous “Saw” film theme and Po nee Po to come up with a ear-tearing metal song, performed by Sidhaarth Mahadevan , who debuts in tamil with this song.

Uyirin Mel Oru  (Single composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja)★★★★½

Singers : Priya Himesh , Sathyan

Lyrics : Niranjan Bharathi

Get ready to get snitched by the homegrown melody , which unfortunately seems to be the only song composed by Yuvan. It drags you to a sweet corner of the world and the singers , Sathyan and Priya does an incredible work , creating a dreamy realm. This is just a simple remembrance of the fact that yuvan is still there in his stance.

Overall rating : ★★★★★★★★½

Bottomline – It appears like the composers get their wake-up call right from the debut and that is what is seen here in the album. Vivek Shiva and Mervin Solomon keep the momentum going up track after track and they don’t want to go downhill on any portion. Though Yuvan does only a single , it is refreshing to hear his melody on the records. Thanks to him and the boys , who have savoured the dish with a mix of good numbers.
