This is an addictive song ! ‘Saree Ke Fall Sa’ is a folksy-peppy number with an interesting hook which works big time. The singers,Antara Mitra and Nakash Aziz have had a blast while singing this. The peculiar arrangements work and the interludes are foot-tapping.The choreography steals the show precisely with some trademark Prabhudeva touches and this one’s going to work big time.
The first single from this new Prabhudeva directorial carries several of the director’s trademark style. Teaming up with Pritam for the first time, ’Gandi Baat’ is a high on energy track with several jaw dropping dance moves from Shahid & Prabhudeva himself(Yes, he makes a cameo). The beats are loud & carries the south flavor throughout. Mika Singh fits to the tune like a fish to water. Kalpana Patowary is also equally impressive & one can expect this song to be on the lines of Munni, Dhathing Naach, etc. One for the masses.
“Barfi !” has been hitting the headlines of late thanks to out-of-the box promos & Ranbir’s on screen comeback after the highly successful “Rockstar”. Ranbir has always had this tendency to have highly acclaimed soundtracks in all his films. Be it ARR going all-out in Rockstar or Vishal-Shekar hitting the right notes in Anjaana Anjaani,Bachna Ae Haseeno or the massively under-rated Rocket Singh(Salim-Sulaiman). Pritam who is going places kudos to Cocktail & Agent Vinod joins his usual collaborator Anurag Basu(Remember Ya Ali,Tuhi Mere Shab Hai..?). Many wondered whether Pritam could deliver experimental music ? Well, the answer is “BARFI !”
This album is truly lovely, quixotic and passionate. Pritam has showed his talent through this album. He has given his best original composition up till now. But not Pritam is to be praised, all the singers K.K, Javed Ali, Shafqat , Mohit Chauhan and Neeraj an also the lyricist Sayeed and Kumar are worthy to be admired. One thing to be noticed that there is absolutely no female singer in the entire album but still it’s a perfect romantic album.
here is quite a repetition at some places even in choice of singers like Neeraj Shridhar. However, some songs are extremely well arranged like Twist, Aahun Aahun, Chor Bazaari and Ajj din chadheyan which will surely hit the chart buster and in your playlist. Also the last track is perfect situational and shaadi song. But overall it could have been better with some more innovation.
