Thuppakki

Thuppakki

The much expected music album of Vijay film 'Thupakki' is finally out. Eventually Thupakki was trending on twitter during the audio release. The film apart from Vijay stars Kajal Agarwal, Vidyut, Jeyaram and Sathyan. The movie has been directed by none other than A R Murugadoss and the music is composed by Harris Jeyaraj. Harris' previous album with Vijay, 'Nanban' had a mix of experimentation that worked well for Harris. Let us see if the same has been done this time too.

Triple treat for K’wood music fans from tomorrow

Tomorrow (10-10-2012), all Kollywood music fans are in for a treat. Its not one or two, but three albums releasing simultaneously. The first of the lot is Ilayathalapathy Vijay and Kajal Agarwal starrer 'Thupakki' which is being composed by Harris Jeyaraj. It is notable that the previous album involving Vijay and Harris (Nanban) was a huge success. Naturally, the expectations are high for this album too. The second one is 'Poda Podi' that stars Young Superstar STR and Varalakshmi. This album has been composed by Dharan. The makers previously released a teaser of the widely famous 'Love panlama venama' song that features in this movie. The third one is 'Neer Paarvai' starring Vishnu and Sunaina. The album is being composed by NR Raghunathan. This movie is directed by Seenu Ramasamy whose previous movie 'Thenmerku Paruvakaatru' won few National Awards including a one for music. Musicperk wishes all these albums a good luck and hope they turn out to be successful.

Maatraan – the second marking the combo of KV Anand & Suriya after the success of “Ayan” has generated enough eyeballs for its teaser alone.Harris Jeyaraj, who has a long history with Suriya which dates back to Ghajini,Ayan,Aadhavan,7aam Arivu,Kaaka Kaaka & Varanam Aayiram joins him again for the 7th time.KV Anand, straight from the success of “Ko” is back to business again. The onus is now on Harris to deliver chartbusters..Now comes the big question…Has he ???
Oru Kal Oru Kannadi

Oru Kal Oru Kannadi

Harris has come up with his 2nd good album this year. After 'Nanban' whose songs were big hits, this album doesn't fail to impress. However, it is not a great album either. A couple of songs have been composed well and a few of them are quite repetitive. If you are a Harris fan, go for it and you will surely love it!
Nanban

Nanban

Nanban's album is supposedly one of the most expected one this year. It stars Vijay, Ileana, Jiiva, Sathyaraj and Srikanth in the lead. The movie is a remake of Bollywood blockbuster '3 Idiots' which was an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's 'Five Point Someone'. This is Shankar's next directorial venture the blockbuster 'Endhiran'. Since the songs in '3 Idiots' were huge hits, it is natural that comparisons arise between 'Nanban' and '3 Idiots'. But after a rather poor outing with '7aum Arivu', Harris has come up with a better album this time. This is the first time Harris has composed songs for Vijay. The songs have already started becoming famous. Lets hope that this album becomes a big hit!
7aam Arivu

7am Arivu

Though not a very awesome album, this one has enough to make it top the charts for the time being. Harris has experimented with a few songs and also made use of different tunes. But the question of whether it will make a mark as much as 'Ghajini' did is quite unanswerable. Lets wait and see.
