Song 1: Kandha Kaara Vadai
Kandha kaara vadai is a competent kuthu with the right dose of engaging mod sounds and rhythmically apt lyrics by Paramu; Shankar Mahadevan is, as usual, perfect. A typical Tamil folk beat song. This is a song of masses and lyrics are too live to the street life. Surely this song can be heard everywhere in autos, shops etc.
Song2: Manasellam Mazhaiye
Manasellam, despite the gorgeous melody partly aping Rahman , is a great listen. This song is one and only class song of the album. The flute music is too classy and the song is a good melody. Sonu Nigam and Saindhavi vocals are extraordinary. On the whole it’s a song to listen.
Song 3: Vella Bambaram
Baba Sehgal, the singer is the main asset of this number. Though song is usual still keeps us in its nod and has similarities of Rehman’s ‘Uppu Karavadu’. One can expect village entire as the context of this song. Yet another fast number of this album
Song 4: Pottadhu Pathalai Maapillai
Pottadhu pathalai works very well as a drunk-kuthu, thanks largely to Velmurugan’s spirited singing. The song again features typical Tamil folk beats. But the song may go to high range based on visuals. Still drunk kuthu never failed to pitch the mass lovers. Let’s see how it turns out to be in the movie. On the whole this is a usual song yet a passable number.
Song 5: Annachi Amachi
Haven’t we heard such kind of songs before? Yes, many songs. There is nothing special, another song helping the political essence of the movie. Looks like all the songs are fast and targeted to the masses. This is a song for frontbenchers and mass lovers. Not great song but still attracts the mass crowds. All in all this is a formulaic song.
Album

Overall the album is decent and is strictly aimed at the actor’s fans. A genuine music lover will find this album average at the most. This is not a typical GV album which has full of fast and mass numbers. ‘Manasellam’ is a great classy relief in the album. GV has delivered on the commercial front and the fast numbers will be a huge hit with the actor’s fans.
Pics of the album: Manasellam, Kandha Kaana,
Album verdict: Out and out commercial album.
