Paul McCartney all set to compose for Video Games
Yes you have read it right. The legendary Beatle, Sir James Paul McCartney is composing music for a video game. He has declined to reveal the title, genre nor the production house of the game yet. His enthusiasm stems from the fact which he stated that, “It’s a fascinating market,” he said. “A new computer game sells so much better than a new CD these days.”.
This is not his first foray into video games though. He had already collaborated with former Beatles bandmate Ringo Starr in 2010 to promote The Beatles: Rock Band, which was available across a number of consoles. But this is the first time he is penning down music specifically for a video game. With the likes of Koji Kondo and Nobuo Uematsu and even Hans Zimmer composing tracks for a video game, It isn’t much of a surprise to see the evergreen Beatle try the same. In any case, this trend can only spell good times for the videogame industry.
