Song 1: Julayi
The beginning beats of this song hooks your ear and the song sounds very peppy and Rama Joggayya shastry’s lyrics are funny. “Na numberkenni sunnalunnai, Ma nannakenni bakilunnai Na chellikenni rakhilunnai” all these singles phrases bring smiles on our faces. This is tailor-made song for Bunny and typical DSP stamped song. One cannot stop expecting the fantastic dance movements from Bunny in this song. All in all a very good number though resembles DSP’S previous songs, yet it stands in our mind because of different singing style and funny lyrics. Folks, listen to it!
Song 2: Chakkani Bike vundi
This is a foot-tapping number with rappy, techno interludes. The song begins with generous dose of English words. But this song sounds like a slow version of GS’S “Dekho dekho Gabbar Singh”. Hence the song lacks variety, though it is a good song but could have been better without any influence of his previous hits. Yet DSP can be given pass marks for this song for applying the right instrumentation and vocalists’ formula. A passable number, all depends on extraordinary visuals.
Song 3: Pakdo Pakdo
DSP and Malgudi Shuba have rendered their voice to this album which is a point to be highlighted. Malgudi Shuba is back after a long time and she does a superb job with her typical husky voice. This may be a background song which can be played in the crucial part of the movie. The beats are really foot taping and there is usage of heavy beats. On the whole a good song but may become the best song with the good elevating visuals to it.
Song 4: Osey Osey
Another well known singer with different voice, Jessy gift is back after some gap. The song begins with a different beat but as it goes on it takes a diversion. It also has some shades of Harris Jairaj typo songs, yet DSP mark is felt and it is yet another fast number with a massy touch. On the whole another good number depends on how mass lovers respond to it.
Song 5: O madhu O madhu
Finally here comes the song that was the bit music in the audio teaser. This is a fabulous and awesome number of the album where you would surely go for the repeat button. DSP chose Adnan Sami to render this song and it worked excellently. Adnan Sami with his husky voice makes it an ear pleasing track. The music is clap worthy and beautiful. DSP himself has penned lyrics to this song and they are decent and good. In tail piece the best song of the album, surely it will be a chartbuster and dear friends get ready to hear this song as a mobile ringtone or caller tune.
Song 6: Me Intiki Mundu
This is out and out devi marked song with installation of funny lyrics. A class mixed mass song with peppy and funny lyrics. Bunny’s dances and Illeana’s expressions are what one can expect from this song. The vocalists are funny and apt to this song, a well done job! A lot of variations are found in this song. No doubt this will be another chartbuster and one can’t stop dancing by hearing this song. Funny, peppy, classy, massy and wholesome DSP kuthu!
Julayi is an out and out youthful album from the mega combo (DSP & Bunny). All the songs project a sense of clean fun! On flip slide, the album lacks an out and out mass song and a best melody which is usually found in this combo. Nevertheless, the album has chances to become a chartbuster as it has its own elements in engaging the listeners and finally it is a well-mannered album by DSP.
Pics of the Album: O madhu O madhu, Julayi, Me Intiki mundu
Album verdict: Lovely and lively album.
