If you are looking forward to watch an action filled gangster movie, Jeena Hai Toh Thok Daal is the one you should look out for. The movie revolves around the lives of 4 gangsters from Bihar who come down to Mumbai portraying the ghastly facts about the underworld scenario. A hard hitting movie, starring Ravi Kishen, Manish Vatsalya, Yashpal Sharma, Rahul Kumar and Hazel Crowney is all set to hit the screens this year. The music album consists of seven songs, let’s have a look at how this album fares –

Song name Singer Rating

Jeena hai toh thok daal Shadaab Hashmi ★★★½☆

Palang tod hai teri jawaani (remix) Saberi Bhattacharya ★★½☆☆
Ankhiyan mila ke chaana (Unplugged) Siddhant Madhav ★★★☆☆

Song name : Palang tod hai teri jawani

Starts off in a very typical item number music which continues throughout the song. A very naughty song in terms of lyrics and the beats are good enough to get your feet tapping, but nothing more than that. Even though it is an item song it doesn’t really strike a chord hopefully the dance sequence will get the audience interested to listen to it.

Song name : Tees uthi dil mein

A gorgeous track which is filled with soulful wordings and light background music. Also when you have Kailash Kher singing it, the track literally touches your heart. It’s the best track in the album.

Song name : Ankhiyan mila ke chaana

Music is something similar to what you will find in a suspense film. Siddhant Madhav’s voice is scarily similar to Sukhwinder Singh’s. The tune is quite boring and honestly itcontinues to be that way with no upbeats or a change in the repetitive course of the music. This one is a one time listen.

Song name : Jeena hai toh thok daal

This song probably suits the action crime filled scenario of the movie the best. Shaadab Hasmi’s vocal compliments the tune really well especially the chorus part which is something you would really enjoy listening to. Other than that this one is just another not so great track in the album.

Song name : Kahiya se jogli gullackwa

This song sounds like the typical local village folk song. Parshuram Mishra’s voice sounds very soothing and perfect for such a track. If you like folk music this one is for you.

Song name : Palang tod hai teri jawani (Remix)

This track tries so hard to become the number one item number but fails. The remix makes the tune as well as the vocals very annoying to listen to, the male vocals saves this track though. Listen to the original one as you would definitely prefer that more.

Song name : Ankhiyan mila ke channa (Unplugged)

You can consider this one as a slow and gloomy version of the original one. The song gets too depressing after a certain point so you would probably end up skipping on this one. Again, original is way better.

Overall ★★★★★★☆☆☆☆

Verdict : Technically the movie has 5 songs, other two being remix and unplugged versions hence out of the five tracks only one will seem to impress you. Although the item number might end up being a favorite too depending on how well the choreography is. The songs in this movie fails to galvanize you, so hopefully this plot of the movie is good enough to be a hit at the box office. In all, this album is just a one time listen.
