1. Bathing at Cannes

This song starts with Beat boxing by Emcee and moves on with his usual rap style . “Irumbile” fame Kash n Krissy then joins the league . The song recording is good and look for violin arps. played in certain parts of the song .

2. Dhimu Dhimu

Lyrics -: Na. Muthukumar

The guitar strumming and soothing voice of Karthik gives the song a good start. The female chorus in the background and the Sax piece in the middle are worth to be noted. The song also has a good ending with the mixture of all elements put together.

3. Engeyum Kadhal

Singers -: Devan, Ranina Reddy, Aalaap Raju

Lyrics -: Thamarai

This song is a slow paced melody which is rendered aptly by Aalaap Raju. The acoustic guitar part and the humming by Ranina is a good inclusion by the composer.

4. Lolita

Singers -: Karthik, Prashanthini

Lyrics-: Thamarai

Eventhough the title of the song sounds a little childish it is a decent melody. The singer’s voices blends with the song very well and the final output is good. The song reminds us of some earlier compositions of Harris.

5. Nangaai

Singers -: Richard, Rahul Nambiar, Naveen Madhav,

Lyrics -: Vaali

This song is probably an inspiration from some of MJ’s compositions. Richard’s voice is rough with the lines “Valliye Chakkaravalliye” and there is a mixture of different beat styles in the middle of the song. It is fully packed with energy and roar.

6. Nenjil Nenjil

Singers-: Chinmayi, Harish Ragavendra

Lyrics-: Madhan Karky

Harish Ragavendra and Chinmayi combo gives us the best song of this album. This song has a mild classical touch with inclusion of instruments like Mridangam, flute and mandolin. Also there is good usage of percussion in this song. This is easily one of the best melodies by Harris.

7. Thee Illai

Singer -: Mahathi, Naresh Iyer, Mukesh, Gopal Rao

Lyrics -: Vaali

This song does not get you at the first shot but gradually grows on you. All the vocalists have done their part perfectly, the song is simple and decently composed.

Album

It is a typical album from the composer, packed with melodies and fresh voices. Engeyum Kadhal has a decent number of good songs and you won’t regret for buying the audio.
