1. City Of Rome
Composer – Jesper Kyd
Roma…. The city in which Ezio continues his odessey is brought to vibrancy by this composition. As Ezio’s missions take him to different parts of the city, the tone and the scale of the music transforms magically to bring out the essence of both the Upper Echelons as well as the vile underworld of the Renaissance. This algorithmic transition improves the gameplay tremendously.
2. Borgia – Rulers of Rome
Composer – Jesper Kyd
This track really oozes with diabolical evilness, that will really make you hate the Borgia like you are Ezio himself( well almost). The composition starts subtle, with a note and builds up the tempo near the middle, like the drumbeat to unveil a grand spectacle – of ultimate sinister Borgia plans. A track that forces you to have the POV on Borgia that Ubisoft wants you to.
3. Roman Countryside
Composer – Jesper Kyd
An opera like composition, which brings out the pangs of the impecunious Roman peasantry. This track goes well with the gameplay, especially at night, with drunken yokels trying to pick up fights and the occasional thieves trying to pick your pockets.
4. Echoes of the Roman Ruins
Composer – Jesper Kyd
Apart from being the best composition of the album, it is also the only track to feature lyrics. The soft, mellow melancholy tune speaks for the derelict monuments of Rome, decaying and decrepitated, singing the glories of their past. The sheer innocence of the tune lulls you to into their reverie. A truly moving piece of composition, that wins your heart and also the top spot.
5. Master Assassin
Composer – Jesper Kyd
Subtle and suave, this rendering grips you like a vice as Ezio moves stealthily to “assassinate”. Minimalistic notes with a deathly silence between them, makes you sit on edges of the seats, anticipating the inevitable.
6. Brotherhood Escapes
Composer – Jesper Kyd
Racy, thumping beats, making the adrenaline rush through your veins as you maneuver through hordes of guards to become incognito. This percussion only composition with a slight hint of strings makes u feel every guard’s eyes on your back before it is Game Over.

Comparing AC: Brotherhood with the prequel, it sort of pales a bit. AC2 with it’s wide cultural diversity in the game, was able to offer us a plethora of tracks, varying on all aspects and still integrated superbly into the gameplay. This on the other hand feels a bit monotonous. Nevertheless, as a standalone OST, it has captured every gamer’s heart and Jesper Kyd’s success formula continues. The above mentioned 6 tracks are a part of the 22 track edition released in disc format on November 16th 2010.
