Album Analysis :

1.Mella Sirithal Kaadhal

Singers : Yuvan Shankar Raja

Yuvan is back ! “Mella Sirithal” starts with a typical Yuvan Shankar Raja prelude & beats which follow it.This song is aided well by some good lyrics.The background beats,instrumentations,interlude arrangements have Yuvan’s stamp all over them.The electro mix really makes it quite interesting.Likely to be lapped up by youngsters.

2.Thappu Thanda

Singers : Javed Ali,Bhavatharani

“Thappu Thanda” has a tried and tested tune but what makes it work is the simplicity of the tune.The song doesn’t have any full-on,high voltage beats which works well for the song.This is that kind of the song which would be played again and again on TV channels.Javed Ali does a neat job but Bhavatharani really struggles while hitting the high notes.Overall,a decent one !

3.Alaipaayum Nenjile

Singers : Udit Narayan

The song starts off with a mandolin strumming followed by a tried & tested tune,beats & even the vocals.There is nothing new in this song & Udit’s voice seems a bit misplaced,outdated here.Although,his Tamil diction has improved a lot,it is still not quite good.Give it a miss !

4.Poovum Poovum

Singers : Vijay Jesudas,Vinaitha

The best song of the album in my opinion.Vijay Jesudas is superb throughout the song & he gets even better while reaching high notes.The ‘pallavi’ is pulled off in a good fashion.The fillers & chorus portions also deserve a mention ! A sure winner !

Album

After a disappointing album in the form of “Rajapaatai”,Yuvan-Susheendhiran is back again in this low profile movie.Yuvan Shankar Raja has done a good job in keeping the songs simple & pleasing to ears.The director has come out in the open & said that 2 more songs are also part of the movie but not released in the OST as he feels the lyrics might let out the story to the audience.So,overall Yuvan has been making a comeback of sorts with Aadhi Bhagwan & this one after a not-so-impressive last year.Good Attempt !
