- O Mama
Singers -: Kay Kay and Clinton
‘O mama’ is one of the better songs in the album. Sung by Kay kay and clinton Cerejo Its an energetic and pulsating song with some scintillating guitar riffs and interludes. This song will top the charts in the days to come. It has an addictive and catchy tune. Youth are sure to be swayed by this number.
- “O mama – The acoustic version”
Singers -:Kay kay and Clinton
‘O mama-the acoustic version’ is more or the less the same song. Its a softer version of the original. They’ve toned down the electric guitar from the original and that results in a soft and melodious number.
Singers -: Usha Uthup, Rekha Bharadwaj
‘Darling’ is a very peppy song. Instantly catchy, its strength lies in the naughtiness of the song. Usha Uthup and Rekha Bharadwaj do complete justice to this song , a song that Asha Bhonsle would be proud of. A peppy fast and a naughty track that will surely catch the attention of listeners. It is a foot tapping number that also has a kind of an old school feel to it. It vaguely reminded me of “budda mil gaya” from song rendered by Asha Bhosle from the film ‘Sangam’.
Singer -:Master Saleem
‘Awaara’ is sung by Master Saleem is another great song. The tune is absolutely haunting.Vishal Bharadwaj has created an absolutely beautiful song. It is a semi-classical song and use of traditional instruments like Sitar adds a lot of weight to the song. Master Saleem has done a great job. Midway through the song the raaga changes and that transition is handled very well. Hats off to Vishal and saleem for this special song. But again some parts of the song reminded me of “Albela sajan” from Hum Dil de chuke sanam”.
- Dil Dil Hai
Singer -:Suraj Jagan
‘Dil Dil Hai’ is an electric number which just Combusts with energy much like ‘O mama’. And Suraj Jagan’s hard-hitting voice complements the Guitar and drums pretty well. Good song but nothing extraordinary. We’ve seen many songs like this in the past. But this is sure to be a hit among the youth.
- Doosri Darling
Singers -: Usha Uthup ,Rekha Bharadwaj
‘Doosri Darling’ is similar to ‘Darling’. The way its sung and rendered. But midway through the song it does have some interesting moments. The song slows down and suddenly picks up at many places. Much like the original though. Dont know why an additional song was needed.
- Tere Liye
Singer -: Suresh Wadkar
‘Tere Liye’ starts Beautifully and loses none of its charm throughout the song.Suresh Wadkar gives that silky, out-of-the -world touch to it. This song immediately transports you to a blissfull place. It has such a soft and captivating tune. The instruments used are perfect. They add to the Romantic feel that this song exudes. The interludes are also wonderful. Vishal Bharadwaj is in magical form in this song. One of the best songs in the album if not the best. It simply tugs at your heart-strings.
‘Bekaraar’ is another soothing melodious song sung by Vishal himself. He’s simply a master of melodies .This is another beauty. An extremely tranquil song that is structured beautifully.
Singer -: Rekha Baradwaj
‘Yeshu’ is a dark song. Its orchestral arrangements and string portions are very impressive. It is a sort of a prayer song as indicated by the lyrics. A different kind of prayer song though, nevertheless impressive in its own way. The choir portion adds a lot to the song. It has a groovy and melancholic strain to it.
